Steal an Egg Treadmill & Speed Guide: Speed Needed per Biome, Multipliers, Divine Trail
Why speed decides everything
Speed is how you reach a nest before other players, how you outrun the guardian on the way back, and — the part most beginners miss — the gate on the next biome. A player with great pets but low speed is stuck; a player with mediocre pets but high speed keeps bringing home better eggs.
The three layers of speed
| Layer | How you raise it | Seen in footage |
|---|---|---|
| Treadmill training | Stand on your base treadmill; upgrade the treadmill with cash to train faster | Treadmill upgrades through several tiers; “Angelic Treadmill” is the top tier (badge) |
| Speed multiplier | Bought with cash at the base | ×4, ×7K speed totals, multiplier ×256 on a mid-game account |
| Trail | Cash (huge) or Robux | Divine Trail = ×14 speed, 385 trillion cash or ~800 Robux; best trail in the game |
You have to physically stand on the treadmill to train (yes, it shows you a “brainrot” screen while you do). Footage from 14–21 August shows players at ×256 speed farming Prehistoric and Cosmic; the Divine Trail on top is what the “fastest player on the server” clips are using.
Recommended speed per biome
Nests display a recommended speed label. These are the labels seen in footage (not an official table, and the label is a recommendation for the guardian chase, not a hard lock):
| Biome | Label seen | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Forest / Lake / Desert / Jungle | Low | Starter treadmill is enough for Forest |
| Volcano | ~7K | A mid-game account at 7K speed was told “recommended” |
| Snow — Yeti nest | ~170,000 | Special guardian nest; rest of Snow is lower |
| Prehistoric | ~700,000 | An 800K player still called himself “a slowpoke” here |
| Cosmic — top nest | ~700 million | Secret Dragon nest; end-game |
The gaps are deliberately huge, which is why the advice is always “one biome at a time”: reach the label, make the run twice, move on. Biome order and best area at each stage →
Fastest way to raise speed
- Put every early coin into the treadmill and multiplier before cosmetics or base decor.
- Keep the strongest money-per-second pets placed — speed is bought with income (pet income list).
- Train during hatch timers: eggs hatch while you stand on the treadmill, and they keep hatching offline.
- Buy the X2 MONEY! gamepass only if you are already gated by cash, not speed (gamepasses).
- Get the Divine Trail with cash, not Robux, unless you are sure — the developer is likely to add more trails.
Speed hacks
You will see players moving faster than any legitimate multiplier. Those are exploits; there are no private/VIP servers yet, so the only defence is server-hopping. Don’t download “speed hub” or “infinite train” scripts — they are the ban-and-malware vector around this game.
